Some cruise lines do have a resident priest of some sort but this is usually only on the larger ships. Exceptions to this are usually during peak religious periods such as Christmas, Easter or Hanukkah as well as groups aboard being able to organise their own services in an area such as a reserved conference room. In addition, any religious hosts travelling with the ship may volunteer their services and if so, this is usually declared in the onboard programme or newsletter.
