Cunard and P&O Cruises have recently updated their Mobility Scooter Policy to include all powered mobility devices, ensuring enhanced safety on their ships.
What has changed?
Guests who bring powered mobility devices on board are now required to book a fully accessible stateroom or suitable suite. This requirement ensures that the powered mobility device can be securely stored in a location that is easily accessible to the crew in the unlikely event of an emergency.
If you require a powered mobility device onboard, you must book an accessible stateroom or suite by calling 020 3811 6615.
Manual wheelchairs will still be accommodated in all stateroom types, provided they meet specific criteria. The manual wheelchair must be able to fold into one piece and should not exceed the following measurements:
- Width: 50cm
- Length: 100cm
- Weight: 23kg
When open, both manual and powered mobility devices must not exceed 120cm in length and 79cm in width.
I have already booked with you, but I do not have an accessible cabin. What happens now?
If you have a booking with us and are affected by this change, our Change Control team will be in contact with you by email. The email will explain in more detail the options that you have.
