What can I expect on a Star Clipper's cruise?
If you are looking for a unique alternative to traditional cruising, then Star Clippers may just be the cruise for you! With destination and their ships at the core of what they do, you will enjoy time sailing on a majestic tall ship, with its towering masts and sails.
Unless the wind is not sufficient enough to maintain the schedule, and engines are put to use, the ships will sail as much as possible.
Guests are invited to hoist the sails, learn knot tying, and even have a go at climbing the mast if you are brave enough! For those guests looking to do something a little less adventurous, the ambiance onboard is personal and sociable. There is no formal dress code - just relaxed and informal.
There is an open-seating dining room, so guests can choose when and who they would like to dine with. Generally, breakfast and lunch will be buffet style. And evening meals will be à la carte. You can also find a Cocktail Hour and hors d'oeuvres being served in the afternoon at the Tropical Bar.
There is entertainment onboard, but it is much more low-key. Star Clippers will offer classes in Knot Tying, Navigation, and Star Gazing on the open deck. There are also complimentary water sports such as kayaking, paddleboarding, and snorkelling. The vessels typically have two small saltwater pools.
Entertainment will be a resident pianist or local entertainers brought on board when in port.
Luxury accommodation will reflect the classic yacht style, designed for comfort and relaxation..
