Formal night dress codes generally apply to the Main Dining rooms on cruises. You may also find that some of the speciality restaurants may have a similar or slightly relaxed policy.
For those who aren't interested in the formal evenings, the buffet restaurant onboard is a great option where casual clothing is always permitted.
