Disembarkation involves these simple steps to ensure all guests have a smooth and organised exit from the ship;
- Disembarkation Notice: The day before disembarkation, you will receive detailed instructions, including your assigned disembarkation time.
- Luggage Preparation: Guests will typically pack their luggage the night before departure and leave it outside their cabin by a specified time. The crew will collect it and then your luggage will be taken to the terminal. You’ll only need to carry a small bag with essential items overnight.
- Morning Routine: On the morning of disembarkation, passengers are usually asked to vacate their cabins by a certain time, often after breakfast. You can relax in designated lounges or public areas such as the Atrium until your group is called.
- Group Disembarkation: Disembarkation is often done in groups, based on colour-coded tags or numbers. These groups are called in order over the ship’s public address system.
- Final Clearance: Before leaving the ship, you’ll need to pass through customs or immigration if required. Make sure you have your identification and travel documents ready.
- Luggage Collection: After leaving the ship, you’ll find your luggage in the terminal. Luggage is often organised by your coloured tag, group, or deck number. Once collected, you can proceed to your onward transportation or destination.
- Assistance and Special Requests: If you have specific needs, such as an early flight or mobility assistance, you should inform the cruise staff as early as possible to make arrangements.
