API is Advanced Passenger Information. This information is required by us, cruise lines, and airlines.
It is your responsibility to add the required information to your booking. Passengers do have to complete their own API themselves.
What information is included in my API?
- Date of birth
- Country of residence
- Nationality
- Passport number
- Passport expiry date
- Passport issue date
- Passport Country of Issue
- Passport Place of Birth (Town/City)
Next of Kin (note, this cannot be someone who is in your travel party):
- Next of Kin's name
- Relationship to you
- Telephone number
- Address
Many cruise lines will request a photo of each guest in your party. Please follow the instructions on their online system on how to add your passenger photos.
Why do you need my API?
In many instances, this information is required in order for your travel documents to be released.
Where do I add my API?
You can add this yourself via the check-in link on the Cruise Line system. If API is required, we will reach out to you about 30 days before departure.
To access your booking with the supplier, you must log in with your flight or cruise booking reference. This information will be on your Iglu booking confirmation and listed in My Booking.
Click on the supplier's name below to access the webpage where you need to submit your API information for your cruise and/or flight.

I can't upload a photo, please help!
Please don't worry. If you are unable to upload a photo before you travel, the cruise line check-in staff will take your picture when you check in at the port.
We may be able to help you complete your API. If you are sailing with MSC or Fred Olsen and are struggling to add the API information, you can send your details to api@iglu.com
Don't forget to include your Iglu booking reference number.
